President

Robert Litan – Robert is a lawyer-economist who has had nearly a 40 year career as an attorney, federal prosecutor, think tank economist and executive, foundation executive, and a research director for a large private sector media and data company. He has worked at the Brookings Institute and Kaufman Foundation and practices law from his home in Wichita.


Board Members

Pastor Wade Moore – Pastor Moore is an Army veteran and separately founded and currently leads both the Christian Faith Centre and Urban Preparatory Academy, a private K-6 school in northeast Wichita. He has been recognized in Kansas as the NAACP Clergy of the Year and has served as the president of the Greater Wichita Ministerial League.

 

Jeanine Philips – Jeanine is Executive Director of the Fundamental Learning Center, Inc., a 501(c)(3) corporation with a mission to serve children with significant reading, spelling, and writing difficulties, including children with dyslexia. FLC was accredited in 2004 by the International Multisensory Structured Language Council for the purpose of offering accredited courses to prepare educators for certification as an Academic Language Therapists. In addition FLC is accredited by the International Dyslexia Association (IDA). Jeanine is a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT), as well as a Qualified Instructor for the Academic Language Therapist Assn. (ALTA).

James Franko – James has been a key part of Kansas’ school choice coalition and routinely advocates for school choice in Topeka and around the state. He currently serves as the Vice President and Policy Director of Kansas Policy Institute. James has worked for two think tanks and another non-profit that provided public policy training to MBA candidates and corporate clients. He has published popular articles for a variety of news media outlets and policy analyses in his various think tank roles. James received his business administration degree from Kansas State University while dual majoring in marketing and entrepreneurship and earning a minor in economics.

 

Dave Trabert – Dave is a frequent speaker to business, legislative and civic groups and also does research and writes on fiscal policy and education issues in his daily role as the president of Kansas Policy Institute. He regularly publishes policy analysis on Kansas’ educational system. His commentaries have been published by The Wall Street Journal, Investor’s Business DailyWichita EagleKansas City Star and several other outlets across the country and the state. He graduated cum laude from West Liberty State College with a degree in Business Administration and is a member of The Friedman Foundation for Educational Choice’s speakers bureau.
